ESR1 - Georgios Ntourmas
The University of Nottingham, U.K.

Georgios is a mechanical engineer specialising in air and ground transport vehicles. He holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (2018). During his studies he was involved in the design and optimisation of an unmanned remote controlled aircraft that took part in a European student competition (2017). During the same year he completed a three month internship in Airbus in the department of Loads and Aeroelastics in Hamburg, Germany. He continued working in the same department for another six months conducting his diploma thesis during which he developed and validated a more efficient loads monitoring algorithm designated for real-time commercial aircraft usage.

ESR2 - Giuseppe Corrado
University of Porto, PT.

Giuseppe is an aerospace engineer specialising in composite structures design for aerospace application. In 2018 he obtained his M.Sc. Degree in Aerospace Engineering and, in 2015, he has completed his undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering, both at University of Salento (Lecce, IT). Alongside his studies, he worked as a trainee at GKN Fokker Aerostructures (Hoogeveen, NL) in 2017, gaining relevant experience about impact and compression testing on advanced thermoplastic aircraft structures.

ESR3 - Neoklis Traiforos
The University of Nottingham, U.K.

Neoklis possesses a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. Specialized in the sector of air and ground transport vehicles he has received technical training in Spain, Italy and Germany where he spent a semester as an exchange student at the University of Stuttgart. During his studies, he was an active member of his university formula student team where he gained experience in composite structures and CAD software. He has also conducted research in the field of out of autoclave processing methods of composite structures during his internship. His diploma thesis about CFD shape optimization introduced him to the world of engineering optimization. Before joining the OptiMACS project, Neoklis worked as a CAE engineer in the industry.
